THEFT BY YOUNG WOMAN.
WATCH FROM BOARDING HOUSE.
Theft of a wristlet watch from a boardine house was admitted by Ellen McCloughan, a domestic, aged 21, in the Police Court, before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., on Saturday. It was stated that the accused pledged the watch with a pawnbroker for 136, and sold the ticket for 2s to another pawnbroker. The magistrate Convicted the accused and ordered her to come up for sentence when called upon, with a condition that she place herself under the Salvation Army authorities for 12 months.
