In the evening the Coronets Amendment Bill was passed. The Post and Telegraph Amendment Bill was read a second time after discussion. The second reading debate oh the Master and Apprentices Amendment Bill "followed. Discussion on. the measure was proceeding at a late hour. Thero were also several large consolidating measures making. important amendments in , the existing law, such as the Counties Bill, Municipal Corporations Rill, and Public Health ! Bill. The Prime Minister moved in the House this afternoon that a special committee be set up to report within three weeks , on. the present and future prices of butter, in view of the probability of the exportable surplus being purchased by the •British Government. " The first duty of /Jl&SlcS'hmittee would be to consider butter paces i after hearing the ' evidence of Government and other experts. Afterwards the committee may proceed to consider other cost of living questions. The committee will consist of Messrs. J. R.
