CHARGES FOR GAS.

INVESTIGATION BY TRIBUNAL. The Auckland Prices Investigation Tribunal held a special sitting yesterday to consider a number of complaints regarding the charges for gas supplied during the period that the pressure was reduced by the Auckland Gas Company. A report was received from the company, and the tribunal dealt with a considerable amount of evidence on the subject. The tribunal will frame for the Board of Trade certain recommendations, which, it is understood, will be in the direction of a suggestion that future charges should be based upon the quality of the gas used.
