SOLDIERS' TOMBSTONES.
In a resolution passed in regard to sol- - diers' gravestones the Soldiers' Mothers'' League strongly opposes the use of Po*t? ; land stone, and suggests the substitution of stone similar to New Zealand granite, " which will prove as imperishable as our beloved sons' brilliant deeds and lasting fame." Copies of the resolution have 0i! been forwarded to the Imperial graves commissioner, London, the High Commissioner, and the Minister for Defence.
