RAILWAY COAL DIVERTED.
SUPPLIES FOR LOCAL BODIES. fBT TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. A statement has been furnished to the Minister for Railways by the Department, showing the amount of railway coal that has been released by the Department to local bodies and essential industries throughout the country between October 1, 1319, and .May 26, 1920. The gross amount was 27,880 tons, and coal has been released at one time or another within this period to practically every local body, gas company, and freezing works in the country, as well as a great deal to other industries iSome has been released also for urgent domestic requirements in different localities
