INFLUENZA OUTBREAK.
AUCKLAND NOTIFICATIONS. 176 CASES, MOSTLY MILD. The cases of influenza notified to the Auckland district health officer during the 24 hours ended at noon yesterday numbered 164 mild and 12 severe, as compared with 62 mild and 12 severe during th'e preceding 24 hours. Hie severe cases were reported as follows: —City, 2; suburbs, 3; Whltianga and Matamata, 2 each; * Waihi, To Puke district, and Thames district, 1 each. The mild cases were distributed as follows—City, 41; suburbs, 32; adjacent country districts, A; Hamilton, 6; Te Kuiti, 2; Te Aroha, 15; Waihi, 2; Whakatane, 1; Te Puke and district, 27; Morrinsville, 4; Matamata, 5; Karangahake, 3; Thames and district, 22; Tauranga, 1.
