ELLERSLIE HOUSE BURNED.
OCCUPANTS' NARROW ESCAP.fi.
A firo occurred at 2.30 o'clock oil Saturday morning, in a six-roomed dwelling on the corner of the Great South arid Jubilee Roads, Ellerslie, occupied by Mr. E. Walker, commercial traveller, the *mlding and contents being destroyed. ,f>. and Mrs. Walker were awakened by th smoko and only had time to save theii three children, all escaping in their night attire. The Ellerslio Fire Brigade wis promptly in attendance, but it was Impossible to check the flames.
