SITUATION IN SIBERIA.
JAPANESE ENFORCE DEMANDS SURRENDER OF WARSHIPS. Australim and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 12.30 a.m.) TOKIO, April 29. The Japanese War Office in a communique announces that Japanese troops occupied the northern section of Sakhalin Island unopposed. Troops will proceed to Nikola. Kvsk, where the Japanese garrison is bel:eved to have been annihilated. The Siberian Provisional Government has accepted the Japanese demands, including the withdrawal of all Russian troops 30 kilometres from districts occupied by Japanese and the surrender of Russian warships, arms and arsenals. Russian police are administering the occupied district*.
