WAIHI.
£13,140 FROM 4547 TONS. The Waihi Gold Mining Company during the period ended April 17. crushed and treated 1517 tons of ore for a return of 8650z of geld and UM'ioi of silver. Taking the gold a', tho British mint value, namely, £4 5a an ounce., this works out at £367(5 ss, while basing the silver on the latest price quoted foi the metal in London, . name; jr. as 5d an ounce, the value of this is £9453 Us 7d. This brings the total return to £13,139 lis 7a. Compared with the return for 'the corresponding period of last year, when 91.8 tons yielded A'*3.664, this el ows a decrease of £9521. In the period just ended, however, the mill was closed for 14 days on account of the striae. The total amount von from the mine to date is £12,664,533. mini; MANAGER'S report.
