CREAM BEING CARTED. • _____ THE FOOD SUPPLY PROBLEM." [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] a TE KUITI, Thursday. A very limited motor service is keeping Te Kuiti in touch with the outside world. Mails are getting away by motor. Arrangements have been made to convey farmers' cream to thij factories by motorlorry, and the problem of getting bread to small townships down the line is being faced. News that the Royal visit had been postponed, and might have to be cancelled, caused great disappointment. Tonight the rotunda was lit up, and a large open-air concert way held.
