ASSURED TILL SUNDAY.

The distribution of electric current from the city power station is now assured until Sunday at least, and there is no danger ol it .having to be cut off to-night, as was at first feared. Thfx city electrical engineer, Mr. "A. Wyllie, stated last evening that a little extra coal had been secured that day which bad relieved the situation slightly. It would be definitely known this morning, he added, whether* it would be possible to procure further supplies with vrtrich to carry on. So far as the tramways powerhouse is concerned, it is understood that the coal on hand will also enable the services to be maintained for a few more days.
