The Royal Auckland Choir "-.'ill give its first concert for the season at the Town Hall on Thursday, May 6. The choir was founded in 1892 as the Auckland Liedertaiel. and has established a great reputation. The soloists at the coming concert will be Miss Mina Caldow, contraltc, Mr. F. G. Bourke, baritone, and Mr. Norman Martin, 'cellist New subscribers shorid apily to the treasurer or secretary f„r tickets. NAVAL CONCERT. Assisted by the band of the Plymouth Division of the Royai Marine Light Infantry, the men of HM.S. Renown will give a concert in the Town Ball on Friday evening. An excellent programme will be renaexed, and a good evening's entertainment, should be provided. The band plaved several fine items in the Albert Park ast Sunday evening. The proceeds will be divided between the Auckland branch of the Navy League and the Missions to Seamen. The box plan opens at Wildman end Arey's to-morrow morning. OTHER ENTERTAINMENTS. Rubye de Remer is seen to great advantage in '* Dust of Desire " at the Lyric Theatre. * , " The Love That Dares," featuring Madlaine Traverse, is being screened at the National Theatre. A story of London, " The General Babylon Hotel." is the chief attraction at the Globe Theatre. Patty Arbuckle appears in " The 1 Garage," an amusing picture, at the Princess Theatre . " The Fighting Colleen " heads an attractive programme at the Queen's Theatre. Arthur Ashly takes the leading role in " The American Way " at the Grand Theatre. The thrilling drama. " Hay Foot, Straw Foot, is the principal attraction at the Tivoii Theatre. ."The Microbe," featuring "Viola Dana will be shown at the Broadway Theatre tonight. " Mrs. Wiggs.of the Cabbage Patch'' is bei7-r shown at Everybody's Theatre. " Go West. Young Man," an interesting production, is being screened at the Strand Theatre.
