The Evening Standard states that the Government has received information alleging a conspiracy organised at the Sinn Fein headquarters in New York to start in June simultaneous outbreaks of rebellion in Ireland, Egypt, India and Canada. The paper adds that the conspirators have been sent out to secure funds for a war chest. They anticipate raising £2,000,000 in the United States. The War Office states that it is not increasing the total of military forces in Ireland. The cavalry which is going there replaces disbanded battalions. ADVICE TO AMERICANS. FOLLY OF INTERFERENCE. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK, April 19. Sir Auckland Geddes. the new British Ambassador, has arrived. In a statement to the press he says that Britons not domiciled ii\ Ireland ought to stand aside and leave those living there to solve their own problems. It would also be helpful if tnose in other parts of the world, who are not Britons but are interested in Ireland, would do likewise.
