At a special • meeting of the Borough Council laet night the following tenders were received for the lease of the Town Hall with moving picture accessories for three years:— H. Dines (Tauranga), £650 per 'annum; G. Gardiner (Green Lane), £440; Wesley L." Grant (Whangamomona), £468; A. E. Edwards (Matamata), £572; E. W. Conchie (Tanranga), £572; F.W. Mfcikle (Tauranga), £600. Mr Dines* tender ttm- accepted. The council passed a vote of condolence with the widow and relatives of the late Mr. Geo.
