BURGLARS AT OTAHUHU.
ROBBERY FROM A SAFE
THIE\ES USE EXPLOSIVES.
A safe robbery occurred at Otahuhu ft few nights ago. The premises of Messrs. Gavin, Wallace and Co., grocers, were broken into and the safe on the premises was wrecked by means of an explosive charge. A sum of about £30 in cash was taken from the safe, aud the safe itself, which was quite new and worth about £20, was rendered useless. A partition in the building also was wrecked. The store was ransacked, but tha principal loss is represented by the cash stolen and the loss of the safe.
