CONVALESCENT NURSES.
m HOME NEAR WELLINGTON. The need of a convalescent home for New Zealand nursing sisters, which has long been felt, has been temporarily met by the generous offer of Mr. G. H. Scales of the use of his residence at Lower Hutt for 12 months for this purpose. The house is beautifully situated on the hills between Petone and Lower Hutt, with a fine view of the harbour and Wellington on one side and of the Ruahine mountains on the other. There is accommodation for 12 or more sisters, and a delightful There is also a large library, a. piano and a gramaphqne. The Red Cross Society has agreed to maintain the house and to pro vide recreation for the sisters in motoi drives and the provision of games. Sistei Mary Grigor, A.R.R.C, has been placet in charge, with a staff of capable assist ants.
