McDonald, of the New Zea- * land Board of Trade, was a passenger to the South last evening. Mr. N. S. Falla has taken over the position of general traffic manager to the Union Steam Ship Company at headquarters, Dunedin, in succession to Mr. J H. C Bond. v Mr. R. H. 'Inder was last evening appointed assistant master at the Seddon Memorial Technical College, with special charge of sports for the boys of the Technical High School- Mr. Inder has been assistant master at the Hamilton High School- since January, 1917. , Miss A. .C. . Marsden, assistant mistress" in" domestic science at the Seddon Memorial Technical College, has resigned. Ths Board of Managers, in accepting her resignation last evening, decided to send her a letter of commendation for her services. Dr. W. B. Mercer, who for many months has acted as district health officer for the North Auckland district, vith headquarters at Whangarei, has been appointeddistricfc "health officer for Haw3;e's Bay. His headquarters will be at Napier Dr! J*. Wallace Telford, of Westland, has been appointed to succeed Dr. Mercer at Whangarei.
