DAVIS CUP COMPETITION.
ENGLISH TEAM'S PROSPECTS. WILL DO THEIR BEST. A. and N Z. FREMANTLE. Dec. 8. Lieutenant-Colonel Kingscote, of the British Davis Cup team, said that he was not painfully optimistic regarding the result of the Davis Cup, but ha believed the Englishmen . would render a good account of themselves. They were going to meet sound, formidable men, but they hoped at least to hold their own.
