"VERY CHARITABLE OFFENDER." " That you did by dancing cause an assembly of persons in Queen Street, whereby the traffic was obstructed,'' was the charge preferred against Percy Chapman before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.. in the Police Court yesterday. The police stated that Chapman, who did not appear to answer the charge, was ' caught singing and dancing to the music of a blind organ-grinder on a Queen Street footpath early on Tuesday evening. When accosted he said he was " giving the old | blind man a hand," and moved on after being cautioned. j • " A very charitable offender,'' said Mr. I • Hunt, as he ordered Chapman to pay 17s, , | the amount of the costs. " '
