STATE AID PROMISED. r BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday. In replying to a deputation to-day the Prime Minister, Mr. W. F. Massey, sad he had heard of the proposed exhibition and he had expressed the approval of the Government towards it. He hoped it would be a very great success and that the Government would be able to assist. He promised that it would not get less assistance than had been given to the Auckland Exhibition. He was a strong believer in Imperial preference and everything possible ought to be done to assist other parts of the Empire.
