FIRE AT FEATHERSTON.

BUSINESS PREMISES DAMAGED. [by telegraph.—press association.] CARTERTON. Tuesday. A fire broke out at Featherston at four o'clock this morning i n packing cases 1n an alley way between H. Clark's boot shop and a shop occupied by F. Keens, hairdresser. The flames spread to both buildings. Clark's stock was saved from fire but was damaged seriously by water, and he will be a heavy loser. There were small insurances on both buildings.
