DIVORCE FOR SOLDIER.
AN UNFAITHFUL WIFE. HEAVY DAMAGES AWARDED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WANGANUI, Tuesday. At the Supreme Court to-day Vincent Norman Randolf, a returned soldier, of Utiku, was granted a decree nisi against Ellen Randolf. The co-respondent, Joseph. Arthur Casey, farmer, of Ohutu, was ordered to pay £1000 damages. This was the sum claimed.
Th© jury recommended that the major portion of the money be allocated between the woman and the unborn child.
The evidence in the case showed that the co-respondent, a married* man with a young family, admitted intimacy with the woman while her husband was at the front.
