ALBANY RESIDENT DIES.
SUDDEN SEIZURE ON WHARF.
, —t RESULT OF HEART FAILURE.
A resident of Albany, Mr. William Webster, died suddenly at about 7.15 a.m. on Friday, a few minutes after he had left his home, intending to pay a visit to Auckland.
At an inquest held by the coroner, Mr. J. E. Wilson, S.M., at the morgue on Saturday, William C. Webster, son of the deceased, Heposed that his father, who was 71 years of age, had always seemed to be in good health until about"six weeks ago, when he fainted. On Friday morning when he left home he seemed well, but a little later news arrived that he had collapsed on the Albany Wharf. Witness at once sent for Dr. Mickle.
Cecil Hunter said he found the deceased lying on his back on the wharf. Bsing unable to rouse him, witness ran for assistance. When he returned with the preceding witness, Mr. Webster was dead. Dr. Mickle, who made the post-mortem examination, said he considered that death was due to syncope from aortic valvular disease of the heart.
The coroner returned a verdict accordingly.
