LOSS TO THE DOMINION. 15,000 TONS IN FORTNIGHT. RETURNS FROM ALL MINES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PBEUS , ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Monday. The secretory of the Mine Owners' Association, Mr. Pryor, writing to the Prime Minister, states : — " I have to advise you that information as under has been received as ■ to the average loss in output as the result of the continuance of the ' go-slow' policy in the coa! mines for the week ended Friday, September 12: — Tons lost Mines. in output. Taupiri Mine* 1.590 Wostport-Stocktou Co 1,116 Westport Coal Co 1.043 Blackball Co 879 Hikurangi Co 568 Pukemiro Collieries . . .. 445 Papiroa Co 320 Taratu Mines 308 Northern Collieries Co. . . 300 Waipa Collieries . . . . 300 Nightcaps Co 300 Jubilee Co. 120 Total 7,299 "In addition to the above the loss in the State mines, which is probably not less than 1000 tons, has to be taken into account, and this means that for the period indicated above the loss in output was over 8000 tons. " This, added to the previous week's result of over 7000 tons, represents a loss in production of over 15,000 tons for the fortnight during which the miners of the Dominion have been going slow."
