■♦ DEPUTATION TO MINISTERS. [BY TELEGBAPH.SPECIAL REPORTER.] WELLINGTON. Monday. The strongly-expressed desire for the conversion of the lee-sehold tenure in the King Country to the freehold is to be the subject of a deputation to be received by the Prime Minister and the Minister for Native Affairs, the Hon. W. H. Hemes on Wednesday morning. ' The speakers will be Mr. W. T. Jennings, member for Taumarunui; Mr G. P. Finlay, Mayor of Te*Kuiti; Mr. G. S. Steadman, Mayor of Taumaruntu; and Mr. John Ormsby, on behalf of the residents of Otorohanga.
