THE RUSH FOR nSEATS.

The express train which left for Wellington last evening was a crowded train, every seat having been reserved by noon on Saturday. There were nine passenger carriages, with accommodation for 320 people.

The rush for accommodation on the express leaving for Wellington to-morrow evening has been so great, that practically no seats remained unreserved when the booking office closed yesterday afternoon. There will be the, same number of passenger cars as on last evening's train. The first' of the two weekly expresses from Eotorua ran yesterday, and carried about 300 passengers. The express connected with trains from Thames, Waihi, Cambridge, and Taumarunui.

For to-morrow's through train to Auckland there was a rush for seats, and in the case of the New Plymouth express indications show that the accommodation will also be fully taxed.
