■ ' « REV. J. R. BURGIN APPOINTED. The Rev. J. R. Burrin lias been appointed vicar of St. Petei'e Church, Onehunga, in place of Canon J. Hase'den, who recently resigned, after having had charge of the- parish for 21 years. Mr, Burgin will take up his duties in November or December. He has been on war service, having left New Zet'aTid as chaplain to the Rifle . Brigade. He returned to New Zealand in May, 19.17, and has since beea acting as chaplain to returned soldiers. I For nearly four years, prior to going on scrv ; _ Mr. Burgin was vicar of St. . Stephen's Church, Ashburton.
