No. 8 Level.—Royal lode, west drive: At 230 ft the crosscut has been advanced to 153 ft through country rock. Empire lode., cast drive: Crosacutting at 1000 ft, the average value of the ore is 5s 7d per ton. The main south-east crosscut has been advanced to 1010 ft, and ; « in country rock.. No. 5 Level.On the ' Mary lode the east drive has been advanced to 810 ft. From 256 ft to 296 ft the average' value for a width of 39ia i 3 £1 3s 5d a ton. From 2S6ft to 30Cft the average value for a width of 48ii. is £1 123 7d a ton. The main northwest crosscut has been advanced to 807 ft front No. 1 shaft." WAIHI WARDEN'S COURT. Young, district warden, the following mining applications were c.ealt with: — -\The Waihi Reel a Gigantic ConscdrdaSed, Lid. 'Mr. E. W. Porritt), asked for foe sun-' pension of labour conditions in respect of / eight special Quartz claims. The particulars" of the application bad previously beer, dealt with and had been recommended to the Minister for Mines for his consent. This having been obtained, the application -pas granted. I. Jainea Webb Blaekaian (Mr. E. W. Por--1 ritt) made application for the sjiiendtr of I five special quarts claims. The application wax accepted. ' Corrie Roope Williams applied for the Wsibi Prince.
