The second annual meeting of Pullan, Armitago and Co., Ltd., was held yesterday, the managing director. Mr. Stanley St. Chambers, presiding. The balance-sheet disclosed a satisfactory financial •-position. The directors' recommendation for the payment- of a dividend of 6 per cent, on all grades of shares, and the voting of s stun to distribute among the employees, as the inauguration of a system of profit-sharing, which is to be the principle of the companj'a future rolicy, was endorsed. A resolution authorising the increase of the company's capital from £16.000 to £30,000 was passed. The directors will offer 10,000 " B " 6 per cent, cumulative preference shares of £1 each to the present shareholders, and _is the event of the present shareholders being unable to absorb the issue, the balance will be offered to the public. Dalsety and Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London office, under date August I:— The wool sales closed firm, as compared with the closing rates of last saioa. Average and good to fine Merinos were lower by 10 per cent., and inferior and faulty 5 per cent, to 10 per cent. Fine quality crossbreds showed a decline of 5 per cent., and medium and coarse 5 per cent, to 10 per cent. The export buying was limited as follows.— For France, 80,000; Belgium, 17,000: Canada, 4000; Italy. 3000, Belgian, and French buyers were operating freely. The next sales will open on August 11, when the probable quantity to be offered will be 70,000 bales. On this occasion the United States. Japan, and neutrals will be allowed to participate*
