BRITISH VICTORY LOAN.
£1,500,000,000 REALISED. -HALF NEW MONEY. MANCHESTER LEADS CITIES. By Telegraph— Association— (Received 11.10 p.m.) , A. and N.Z. LONDON. July 13. ' It is estimated that subscription ' to the Victory loan, which closed ■ last night, has realised nearly £1,500,000,000, one-half of which is ', new money. ' There was a remarkable last day , rush to subscribe with queues of ' investors in many towns. Manchester easily leads the great cities, ' haying subscribed £12,500,000 on Friday, making a total of £26,000,000, ' equal to £.35 per head of the population.
