REQUISITION OF SCHEELITE.

IMPERIAL ORDER CANCELLED.

| A statement was made at the last meet- ' ing of the Waihemo County Council by Mr. O'C'onnell that a number of scheelite ' miners in the county had been seriously ;affected by the Imperial Government- sud--1 denly ceasing to take the product of their industry. The position was that all the scheelite had been requisitioned by the Imperial Government for the duration of the war and six month.- aftei wards, but lecently they received a fortnight's notice that no more scheelite would be accepted. He held that the Government had broken its agreement, as peace was not yet signed. .
