MISSING NEW ZEALANDER.
PRISONER IN GERMANY. [BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] WANGAiVUI. Friday. . A resident of Wanganui, Mrs. Broadhead, has received "?ord that her brother, Corporal Victor Anderson, captured with the Otaeo Infantry Battalion, is still missing in Germany, and his whereabouts cannot yet be traced. It, appears that in April of last year 204 of the Entrenching Battalion were captured and taken prisoners by the Germans. In August Mrs. Broadhead's people received a note from her brother, written on a very dirty piece of paper, (to the effect that he was well and " still going strong." The letter hac 1 . tho Wurtembcrg stamp mark on it. Since (hen no further information has been received from him. The High Commissioner was communicated with, and he replied to the effect that every step would be taken to ascertain the missing corporal's whereabouts. A cablegram has now been received from the Base RecoHs Office stating that of the 201 men captu-ed, 200 have ! been accounlled for, leaving four still to be traced.
