GENERAL SMUTS' MISSION. CORDIAL NEGOTIATIONS. A. and N.Z. LONDON, April 18. A Hungarian wireless message says that Herr Belakun, Foreign Minister in the Soviet Government, interviewed, said that his negotiations with General J. 0. Smuts were most cordial. There was every reason to hope that the Allies did not contemplate attacking the Hungarian Republic. General Smuts sympathetically viewed the conference representing the States formerly included in Austria-Hungary at Prague and Vienna for the purpose of considering boundaries and economic relations.
