WOMAN HANGS HERSELF.

EFFECT OF INFLUENZA.

The dead body of a woman named Josephine Greene, aged 34, was found hanging from the joist of an outhouse at the back of her residence, Victoria Street, Onehunga, about eight o'clock yesterda" morning. The body was cold when discovered, and death must have taken place some time previously. An inquest was held yesterday afternoon, before the district coroner, Mr. D. A. Sutherland. Evidence was given that deceased had suffered 'from an attack of influenza about five months ago, and since then had been troubled with insomnia. Deceased had been very despondent for some time, owing to her inability to obtain sleep. The coroner found that deceased had committed suicide while in a state of temporary insanity.
