BUSINESS ON , THURSDAY.

The tone of the Sharemarket was good on Thursday. In banks, "Nationals were wanted at £6 6s, sellers £6 lis. For New Zealands £13 15s was offered, sellers firm at £14. In insurances Nationals at 80s were looked for at 76s 6d. New Zealands had sellers at £12 Ids, buyers £12 lis. South British were asked for at £7 10s, sellers £7 15s. In financial lines Loan and Mercantile} had demand at £103, sellers £110. In gaß Aucklande were wanted at 26s 6d, and contributing issue at 18s 6d,'with sellers of the former at 27b. In shipping P. and 0. (deferred) were sought at £393, sellers £398. Miscellaneous lines had good inquiry. In mining Komatn Reefs sold at 2d, and Waiotahis at 6d. Waihis had sellers at 435, buyers 425. Talismans at 8s 4d had buyers at Bs. The Stock Exchange will now be closed until Monday, April 28.
