METHODIST WOMEN'S SERVICE.

A service of thanksgiving for the cessaj tion of hostilities and the prospect of poace, arranged by the Methodist Women's .Mission Auxiliary, w; s neld in the Pitt Street Methodist Church on Monday afternoon. In the absence of the Mayor, Mr. J. H. Gunson, the chair was occupied by Mrs. H. E. Paeey, president, of the auxiliary. An address was dtl.vered by the Rev. H. E. Belibouse, president of Hie conference, the Revs. G. Bond and J. Napier Milne also taking part in the service. A thank-offering, realising nearly £90, was received lor work in .New Zealand and on the mission field of the Pacific, particularly in the Lidian Orphanage in Fiji.
