ST. JOHN'S COLLEGE.
PROPOSED NEW BUILDING, ERECTION ON OLD SITE. The arrangements for the erection of the new building at Tamaki. for the continuation of the work of St. John's College, are now being expedited by the board of trustees. The present old buildings will be removed, and will be replaced with a modern stone structure on the same site. The material from the present buildings will be used in the erection of the new college, which w-11 provide accommodation for about, double the previous number of students. As soon as the detailed plans have been prepared tenders will be invited for the work. Owinc to the warden and the students all going to the war, the college has been closed for some time, but it is hoped that it will be possible to resume the work of the institution early next vear The now building scheme will include the completion of the Patteson wing, which contains the Kinder library.
