COLLEGE RIFLES CLUB.

WAR SERVICE OP MEMBERS. The College Rifles Club held its annual meeting last evening. Lieutenant A. A. Dignan presided. There was a lar"e attendance, particularly of the older members, many of whom had been on active servioe. The annual report dealt with the war service of members as far as it was possible to ascertain the particulars. It was 6tated that the club had a total membership of 620 and the records of 424 had been traced. Of the latter number 306 had served at tho front. The deaths had totalled 51 and a large number had been wounded. The following war decorations had been awarded.— Cross, one (Lieut. Cyril Bassett); C.M.G., one (Lient,-Colonel T. H. Dawson); 0.8. E., one (Lieut.-Colonel M. M. Shera, M.C.); bar to D.5.0., ono; D.5.0., three; D.8.C., two; M.C., 15; M.M., eight; D.C.M., two; M.S.M., three; French Croix de Guerre, one. Twelvo members bad been mentioned in despatches. The annual report was adopted, and it was decided to make 35 of the decorated members life members of the club, Borne of the others having already had this honour conferred on them.

Colonel H. R. Potter, C.M.0., officer commanding the Auckland military district, wrote signifying his willingness to become patron of the club. The attention of members was drawn to the fine collection of war trophies now in possession of the club,
