PROPERTY SALES.
A notable salo eventuated at Greenwood's Corner, Epsom, on Monday last, when the modern bungalow residence of Mr. C. D. Dans (who has removed to Chriat-church) was submitted to the hammer by that popular city auctioneer, Mr. George Walker, of Walker and Company, Queen Street, opposite Hugh Wright, Ltd. With tbo house went tfie section on which it stands, 110 ft by 160 ft frontage. There was a - capital attendance, and, after spirited competition, the property, in ono lot, was knocked down to Mr. J. K. Davidson for £1900, which must bo considered a very satisfactory figuro. The sale of the furniture followed, when bidding was brisk, and the prices realised excellent. By the way, this plan of put. tine up the house and section first, and telling the furniture afterwards, is becoming increasingly popular with vendors, and is a most convenient arrangement for the buyer of the house, because it enables him lo secure such articles of the furniture as lie may desire to acquire on the spot. Walker and Company specialise in sales of this description, and are almost invariably successful in securing top prices.
