LETTER-BOX LOBBY.
Sir,—Whoever was responsible for designing the entrance to the letterbox lobby at the G.P.0., must have quite overlooked that to deal with over 1000 box-holders, proper "in" and "out" doorways are essential. Between the hours of 8.30 and 9 a.m. many hundreds are crushing in and out of a 3ft doorway. Surely an up-to-date post office should provide belter facilities. Perhaps the postal authorities have already noticed such a manifestly bad arrangement. Enlarging the inside doorway might help to avoid congestion, but an "out" doorway, leading into "exit" from railway station, would be preferable. C.M.R.YV.
