CARE OF INVALIDED SOLDIERS.
Sir, —I write as a returned man. and one who has read with much interest the letters to the Defence Minister by the father of a soldier who died at Hanmer. For almost three years I have been in close touch with wounded and sick men. and I, with other?, wish to see invalided privates and invalided officers treated alike. Much has already been done. Let me quote one instance of an invalided soldier who had to be transferred from one place to another. Certain arrangements were proposed, but other and better were made owing, I know, to the Clemens ease. Every provision was made and every care taken. Undoubtedly there has been a difference in the treatment of invalided soldiers since the publication of Mr. Clemens' letters, and 1 believe that other men will live, owing to the efforts of the father of one of New ZeaJand's bravest eons. i N.Z.
