Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. (Rood. 11.60 p.m.) NEW YORK. Mai. 13. The Dublin correspondent of the United Press interviewed De Valera, the Sinn Fein leader. Following his escape from Lincoln Gaol, De Valera hid in a house an hour's distance from Dublin. De Valera said: " Violence will be the only alternative remaining to Irish patriots if the Peace Conference fails to extend self-determina-tion to Ireland. This means a continuous revolution until Ireland's rights are recognised. We hope to avoid violence, but if it is forced on us we will not hesitate. Ireland must have complete independence. I believe every man in Ireland will back us. Meanwhile we have organised a Government." FEARS OF A CRISIS. SITUATION AGAIN GRAVE. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Mar. 18.
