HYDRO-ELECTRIC SCHEMES.
MINISTER TO VISIT WAIKATO. [UT TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Minister for Public Works leaves Wellington in a few days to inspect the site of the proposed Arapuni hydroelectric works in the Waikato. He will be accompanied by Mr. E. Parry, chief electrical engineer, with whom he is going thoroughly _ into ell the New Zealand hydro-electric proposals, prior to Mr. Parry's 'departure for England. Sir Win. Fraser also intends' to visit the Waihi Gold Mining Company's Horahora electrical station while in the Waikato.'
