When the National Efficiency Lfeague achieves the main object of its existence, viz., a poll on the Efficiency Board's proposals for tlw abolition of the liquor trade, then it should proceed further in the interests of the efficiency and health of the people. Their investigations should indicate : that : there Is something radically ■wrong with the y Sristing, social system ■whereby slums 'abound^and undeserved poverty is rampant.
