A German aviator brought to the French lines a letter from the Mayor of Mulhausen, in Alsace, asking them to. despatch a French regiment to re-establish: order in the town. The population, the message stated, had risen against the German soldiers, who were fleeing in disorder. i i '■,".■:■"'
