OBITUARY.

MR. FRANK A. FENTON.

Mr, Frank A. Fenton, a well-known chemist, who had been in business in Karangahape Road for several years, died at hie residence, Firth Road, Grey Lynn, yesterday morning from influenza. Ha was 47 years of age. Mr. Fenton was born in the Auckland Province, and was a son of the late Mr. W. A. Fenton, who was in business as a butcher in Queen Sheet. He took a keen interest in coursing, and many years ago won the Waterloo Cup with a dog named " Sailor Boy,' belonging to his father. He was also a prominent member of the Grey Lynn Bowling Club. His wife and daughter survive him.

DR. E. A. W. HENLEY. The death is announced of Dr. E. A. W. Henley, of Napier. The deceased was born in Dublin in 1875, and had a brilliant career at Trinity College Dublin. After taking the degree of M.8., B.Ch., 8.A.0., he was for a short time in practice in Belfast, going to Napier in 1901. Dr. Henley had been ailing lor some time, and recently viiited Sydney to secure special treatment for diabetes. DR. MATHEW HOLMES. Dr. Mathew Holmes., of Wellington, succumbed to an attack of pneumonic influenza on Friday. When war broke out bo offered bis services to the Government, and was despatched with our first Expeditionary Force to Samoa. On his return he went to Sinai. Subsequently he was invalided back to New Zealand. 'OUARTERMASTFR-SERGEANT B. H. WYMAN. Quartermaster-Sergeant Benson H.'Wyman died of bronchial-pneumonia at Featherston camp on Friday. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Wyman, of Blockhouse Bay, Avondale South. Upon leaving the Auckland Grammar School ho entered the Justice Department, and ww first stationed at the Magistrate's Court at Auckland, and successively at Queenstown and Wanganui. Later he comiuenced the practice of law in Auckland. He was admitted a3 a barrister of the Supreme Court in 1911, and graduated LL.M. in 1916. For some time he was assistant law-lecturer at the Auckland University College. For many years he was secretary of the. West End Tennis Club and the Auckland Camera Club. He entered tamp early this year.

MR. CHARLES STICHBURY. The death of Mr. Charles Stichbury is announced from Napier. The late Mr. Stichbury was for about 25 years connected 1 with the Government Life Insurance .department at Wellington, and subsequently was appointed resident agent at Napier. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. William Stichbury, of Tatapuna. MR. K. R. COURT. Mr. Kenneth Reeve Court, aged 32, the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. James Court, of Onchunga, died on Friday at the public hospital, from pneumonia. He leaves a wile and two young children. Mrs. Court is at present in the hospital. The deceased took 1 a keen interest in all kinds of sport, and was a representative hockey player. At one time he was in business in Cambridge, but latterly he was a departmental manager in Messrs. George Court and Son's establishment. For all patriotic objects be was a zealous worker. MRS. R. McVEAGH. The death of Mrs. McVeag'n, wife oi Mr. R. McVcagh, barrister, too* place at her residence, Grafton Road, yesterday morning. Mrs.. McVeagh *ad been in delicate health for the past four years, and the death last week of her only son, from pneumonia, proved too great a shock. The deceased lady was a native of Auckland, being a daughter of the late Mr. D. J. Reardon.
