AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
A meeting of the ' Auckland Racing Club Committee was held yesterday. Resolutions of sympathy with Lady Lockhart and family on the death of Sir Robert Lockhart, for several years a steward of the club, also with Mrs. Haistoad, on the death of Mr. C. 1). Halstead, for many years hon. veterinary surgeon to the club, were passed in silence Five new members were elected. The following transfers wore approved:—W. 0. Stead to J. Hart, Athens II E, J. Watf to Mrs. M. A. Perry, Lovomatch; E. Alison to W. Taylor, Miss Ellice; E. W. Alison, lun, to W. J. Wilßon;~Taiaroai: A. Hyde to Hyde and Te Maru, 1915, Te Aroha celd* ing; J. Cavanagh to H. M, White. Llansannor: M. M. McCallum to J. Williamson, [oneta. Accounts totalling £2231 were passed for payment, also the account for land tax, amounting to £853 2s 4d. Mr. M J Lynch was appointed a steward of the club in place of the late Sir Robert Lockhart.
