MR. WILLIAM BOWDEN.
Mr. William Bowden, -who died at his residence, Auburn Street, last week, was one of Auckland's early residents. He was born in Cornwall 81 years ago, and arrived in Auckland when 17 yearn of age. For 35 years he was employed as foreman of worka for the Auckland City Council. He is survived by four sons and four daughters.
