DEATH OF OLD IDENTITY.

MR. JAMES GOLDIE.

A very old resident of the city, Mr. James Goldie, died at his residence, Or fton Road, on Tuesday morning, aged 71 years. He came to Auckland 54 years ago, and for over 50 was in the employ of Messrs. Campbell, Ehrenfried, and Co., Ltd. He retired about fi-e years ago. He leaves a widow, one son, six daughters, 23 grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren.
