Captain W. Watson left for the South last evening. Major W. Glenn, of Wanganui, is at the Star Hotel. Mr. G. Wilkinson, of Sydney, is <\t the Star Hotel. Mr. J. B. Young, of Te Kuiti, is a' the Royal Hotel. Mr. J. P. Mowatt, of Sydney, is a the Royal Hotel. Mr. F. C. De Berry, of Wellington, is at the Royal Hotel. Mr. Harold Eeauchamp, chairman o ! the Bank of New Zealand, is suffering from an attack of influenza. Dr. A. W.. Averill, ■ Anglican Bishop of Auckland, returned from New Pi,-, mouth yesterday afternoon, in order to render afsistance to the various organic tions which are engaged in fighting the influenza epidemic. Dr. Averill has postponed his engagements in Taranaki for the present.
